Woo Hoo Episode 1 of the Amontillado Group

Alright! Finally got some videos uploaded. One of many!

This first Episode of the Amontillado Group is about online dating. It’s about a 30 minute conversation. Figure this is a good amount of time for these. Hopefully these videos aren’t that bad; it’s a learning experience right? Gotta start somewhere.

Amontillado Group, for those that do not know, is simply the name that Valmonuni and I came up with to represent ourselves. There’s a bit of back story behind the name, but that’s not too important.

So yeah, hopefully this will turn into an ongoing thing. And maybe just maybe people will like it and watch more of it.

Oh well.

Laters.

Part 3

Massive Fail

So Valmonuni and I recorded 100 minutes of footage last night. This was done in ten 10-minute segments. Was really excited to encode them this morning and start editing them. However when I went to encode them I found out that none of Val’s audio was recorded. So really, all I have is about 30 minutes of me talking and 70 minutes of me listening.

UGH

So sad. So sad to lose so much footage to such a stupid thing. I guess from now on there has to be a mic check and footage check throughout the recording.

MAN sucks sooo much. I mean yeah it was a 100 minutes of footage that may or may not have been good. And who knows if any of it would have been entertaining enough to put online, but still…. ugh 100 minutes. dammit!

Oh well. … It’s a learning experience. I guess.

Online Video

So I’ve decided to start posting online video.

Going to start with home movies and a few web show projects I’m working on.

Figured, I’d blog about it since, I’ll be using my Error42 accounts a lot more often for this.

Not sure if any of this will go anywhere, but you never know. Either way I’m thinking it’ll be a lot of fun.

out of balance

Today I heard the line, “there is nothing wrong about consumption, its just right now it is out of balance”. I think that was the piece I was missing to my perspective. Lately I’ve been plagued with these thoughts of consumption and how its slowly destroying our lives. And I’ve been looking at consumption as a double edged sword. We need it and yet it will eventually bring about our destruction. Now though, I think it is overconsumption that is the problem. And how consumption has warped the minds of so many people. Consumption as a lifestyle, consumption for the sake of consumption, these are the main problems, not consumption itself. Does that make sense?

Where was I?

My last post was incomplete.

I'm on the bus now just thinking.

I think that there is a reason why each person is born. But it is not as personal as most people would believe. I believe that it is not the individual that has a destiny, but all of mankind. Most people spend there whole life trying to figure out their own lives when they really should be considering how their lives fit into the bigger picture.

If mankind were to be thought of as a single entity then each person becomes a part of a giant whole. Like the cells of our own body, each person functions as part of a giant living organism.

Our reason for being isn't what we accomplish in our lives, it is what we impart on the future of mankind.

I am not trying to lead this thought into a religious ending. Nor am I trying to lead you down a road that finds a certain religion to be right or wrong about creation or life itself. In fact I am trying to reason a Pan-religious theory. An idea about life, that fits across all religions.
